The Able Tasmans were a band from Auckland, New Zealand. Between 1985 and 1996 they released their records on the famous Flying Nun Records label. On the other side of the world in Groningen, The Netherlands (the province where Abel Tasman was born) Paul Schwarte started the kiwirock fanzine Tuatara (with a Flying Nun Alphabet).
